hi guys, i think im going crazy over here. It appears that my stock rc18t is doin at least 35 or 40 mph. could it be that i am using a visiion peak 2 charger to charge it? and if i can get this speed why cant i get wheelies?? also, has anyone had a problem with the front wheels chattering at 1/2 or more throttle when turning? thanks!

You'r not going to get wheelies because it's a 4WD. I also doubt the you are getting past 35MPH in a stock RC18T, stock the just get 20MPH, and the charger would have nothing to do with it's speed.

Definitely a stock 18t will not run 35-40. They will run about 22mph. We've checked several on radar. I have an 18t that will pull wheelies. It has a Jwerks brushless motor set-up in it. This one will run 40 m.p.h.. I lipo battery can make an RC18 pull wheelies too. As long as your on a high traction surface. We race on carpet. With a little traction compound, I've seen one pull the wheels with a 2 cell lipo on carpet.

Yeah , no way you're seeing those speeds stock .

Mine with a 8000Kv Mamba and a 2s LiPo with 14/60 gearing was hitting in the 40 mph range and pulls wheelies no problem .

With a 3s it will do a backflip from a standing start on carpet , and pull the wheels up at anything past 1/4-1/2 throttle .

The chattering you speak of is the front dogbones binding up in the stub axels , get some CVD's and it will be gone .

these minis always look faster because they are so small
