Here's a quick and inexpensive way to make fuel tank access easier. All you need are two zip-ties and a small piece of fuel tubing.
-Slip one zip-tie through the tab on the end of the tank lid. Slide the lock over the strap and tighten it as much as you can.
-Cut the strap portion to the desired length.
-Slide a small piece of fuel tubing over the end of the strap.
-Cut the lock portion off another zip-tie and push it down on the tank strap against the fuel tubing.
The fuel tubing prevents the lock portion from sliding down farther and the lock prevents the tubing from sliding up when you pull it all while making a neat little handle to grab during a quick pit stop.
