for anyone out there that owns a HPI Savage X ss kit .or savage x.. did anyone notice the play in the front tires left to right ... try moving them they move quite a bit even before the servo moves can anyone help me out and tell me how you fixed it or the fix to fix it there is to much play in it and i already went over all the bolts and screws made sure they were all tight enough.... thanks alot guys...

Hey!
I have a pair of Savages and they both have some play in the steering, one more then the other, but look at all the diff components in the steering assembly, lots of plastic an such, its not like they are all made out of steel and its a percission machine.
My one Savages even has duel servos for the steering and it has almost as much play as the one with just a single servo. For that matter a lot of my trucks have some play in the steering. Its just a given, even my trucks with all aluminium steering components have play..:rolleyes: And again, some more than others....

Hey when you move the front wheels left to right look at the servo saver see if the two parts start to seperate. If so you might need to tighten up the servo saver by turning the purple nut clockwise, and go from there. Hope its what your looking for

thanks for the help i bought the savage x kit and built it i didnt put the servo saver nut on tight enough i tighted it and its alot better a lil play but i can deal with that ...lol thanks again
