I need help with my truck.....im not shure whats wrong with it but i think its electronical, because the truck wont respond to the controler. Usually when i turn it on the steering twitchs a little but it doesnt even do that now.....i was thinking maybe it was the crystals or something but im not shure....... o ya this happened to it when i was running it, i jumped it off a jump and it was about.....2ft off the air and went about 3ft and landed in soft sand then it wouldnt go anymore.....maybe something came lose in the landing? one thing i have done after this was change the batterys in the truck you know thinking the batterys might have ran out...but that wasnt the problem.....soo if u guys can help me i would greatly appreciate it...o ya also the truck is a associated gt2.......-Aaron

I had a gt2 a while back and had the same issues. One time it was sliced wires from the switch to the battery. Another time it was just a matter of the plug comming out of the reciever box. If it looks like the plug from the battery is still plugged into the reciever box I would take the battery out and hook it directly to the reciever bypassing the switch and all the wireing and see if it works. If it does you know you have a problem somewhere in between the reciever and the battery connections. My connections melted together form the switch to the battery so take caution pulling them apart. There could be some other things but I would start with this and then go from there.
Good luck and let me know if you need some more help.

The plug that goes from the battery to the receiver will only have 2 wires in it. The wires are usually red and black in color. The rest of the plugs will have three wires coming from it that are usually red, black and white in color. The 3 wire connectors are for the servos. The plugs for the stock Traxxas receiver are black plastic. The connections are also labeled on the receiver BATT, CH 1, CH 2, and CH 3. You want the one labeled BATT.

I have had crystal vibrate loose before... make sure yours are pushed in all the way and have good connection.

i think ive finally found out what is wrong with my truck....the wires going to the battery box thing where like sliced inside of the wire......that might be kinda hard to understand but.....anyways what type of wire should i get to replace it with?

i'd go with a 12 gauge wire replacement :D lol, i'd just grab some kind of extension if you can take the whole thing off. otherwise, just solder the proper connector on and ur set

LOL, 12 gauge wire is the HUGE wire that people use for 1/8 scale brushless conversions... anyways, what wire is it that got cut in the battery box???

12 guage wire is a dramatic over kill. The easiest thing to do, if you have enough wire on the truck, is to cut out the bad spot and either A. twist together the red wire, then put a nice UL Listed electrical tape tightly around it, and be sure to cover the whole splice connection, (were you twisted it together), or it will short out. I like to go atleast half an inch to an inch past the connection. Be sure that the wire is twisted together very tight before taping. Then do the same thing to the black wire. OR B. Cut out the bad spot, and connect the wire end together with solder, red on red, black on black. Then tape over the soldered area with a UL Listed electrical tape, be sure to go past the exposed wire atleast half an inch. And it does not hurt to have 2-3 layers or more tape on there, just to be safe. The first option is the easiest and the cheapest. When getting electrical tape, it will say UL Listed either on the underside of the cardboard roll, or on the packaging somewhere. If it is not a UL Listed tape, do not get it.

ok it wasnt the wire...., i though it was cut underneath the covering, so i cut the covering of the wire, put the wires back together, because i cut through the covering and the wire, and i turned the switch on, and nothing. i checked teh crystals, made sshure that they where pluged all the way in, and still nothing. i cant see anything melted or anything wrong, so what else could it be? it hink i might e-mail associated, and see what they say.....
