I was almost about to buy the virual rc package when I discovered they are releasing an off road version. I can only amagine how bad its going to be. I want to play vrc so bad I am considering just getting the on road version until the off road version comes out. Im not sure if I want to waste the money or not b/c as soon as I get the off road verion the other one will never get used.
Does anybody have any inside information on the new game b/c I looked on the web site and they say it will be out in the spring of 08 but then the next sentance they say it will be out the second half of 08 after the on road version is released. Im not sure if the seasons are differant in the Netherlands but were I live spring is in the first half of the year.
Any info would be great and let me know what you guys think of the on-road version if you have played it. I heard it makes you a much better driver.

I just got an email back from them and they said it would be late this year and the old controller will work on the new game. Looks like I just have to get the on road version until the new one comes out.

It depends on were you get it and what package you buy. Ive seen the basic pack for around 110-130 and it comes with 12 months online racing and 10 tracks. The other version Ive seen ranges from 120-160 and it has 18 months and 13 tracks. These both come with everything (rc style controller with usb cord, and program. You can however buy everything seperate and they also sell a usb cord to plug into your reciever if you want to use your own controller.
Everybody I have talked to that has this game loves it and they said it definatly makes you a better driver and teaches how differant adjustments affect the cars handling.
I got an email from from them about the off road version and they said its going to be released late in the year. My guess would be around thanksgiving and christmas.

I have had VRC for several month now. I have to say it is Very helpful. I could definitely see the improvement in lap times at the track. Along with now being able to hang with the front runners & feel comfortable running with them. I would definitely suggest it as a " simulator " game for driving practice. The online Daily Challenge is also cool !
