why is it that every hop-up i find for my MT2 has to be anodized purple? am i the only one in this world that doesnt like purple stuff or what? Anybody have anywhere i can find red anodized stuff or something?

I agree with you totally. It seems like its that way for alot of hpi stuff.

HPI's signature color is purple. AE's is blue, Tamiya's is lighter blue and Losi's is yellow (for their wheels)

Purple reminds me off the lifted trucks you see in the late 80s and early 90s with purple shocks,pin stripes ect. everywhere. Im just not a big fan of it.

i wish i could find even just regular silver stuff or something. my buddy can do powdercoat so i could have any color i want. i just hate the purple hahaha

My Maxx is purple and green like Barney the dinosaur. Nothing else looks like it, I love it!!!

I see that alot, purple, yuk...I like traxxas because you can pick up many different colors, incudin my fav. Polishished. I love that polished aluminum look.

Ive Heard You Can Take Off The Anno. With Oven Cleaner Not Sure How But................

You can use ezoff oven cleaner, but it is really dangerous and will eat the aluminum if left for too long. A better solution would be a cleaner called Greased Lightning. It will take off the anno and still leave the aluminum in tact. I think RC driver did an article about making flames on a purple annodized chassis using liquid mask and greased lightning. It was really cool!
