Just wondering if I'm the only Canadian on this forum? If your from the Great White North, let us know from what part of Canada and If you drive your rigs all winter or if its just a summer fling....I'd like to see more pics of your snow covered vehicals and what you do to help with the snowproofing, if any.
I'm making a track in the snow covered park behind my house and when its ready, I'll get some pics posted....

I'm in Canada man.

Milton, Ontario. Just west of Toronto.

Not to much snow bashin going on here this year, I have a almost 1 year old so time is tight.
I usually just balloon the reciever and go at it, blow it off when i'm done and a little contact cleaner on the servos and w/d on the bearings and that's it.

Sorry though.......................no pics.

Yeah I am from just outside Calgary, Alberta. I run my MGT in the snow and have had no problems yet. I have sealed the battery in a ballon and the reciever aswell i then sealed the reciever box with silicone. I also removed the switch for the battery cause is corrodes up when it gets wet When i am done running i hose down the truck with WD 40.

yea man I live just outside of Guelph, Ontario. I just got my Evader EXT about a month ago and I've been running it in the snow, and jumping it over some snow banks. So far I've broken two parts cuz on those 2 days it was pretty cold and made the parts brittle which sucks

Hey hows it going? Ive been in RC for over a decade or two. Used to live in calgary and used to race on weekends when i was younger and loved every min. of it but in that time ive moved away to Vancouver Island on the west coast of British Columbia and the thing i miss the most is racing.
the community i live in is small and car racing is not the flavor of choice here airplanes and helis rule.
If anyone might know where i can get in some rc action around here or lives in my area give me a holler would love get back into racing.
The great thing where i live you can pretty much race all year round.

Thanks. J

After that 30 cm dumping we got the other day, I couldn't resist a little winter driving. With a bit of shovel work and the help of the city plow, I managed to devise a small track in the front yard. I managed to get a small vidio clip and will post it soon.

After Second tank and a few track mods, this one will need a new rear bulkhead/shock tower:eek: :

Yup, I'm Canadian as well. But I'm taking medication, maybe some day I'll be cured!

I hail from Winterpeg (Winnipeg), Manitoba and right now it is 20 below overnight with a windchill of 40 below. Yeah.... I'm just praying for early Spring and big blocking one of my T-maxx's while I wait. <sigh>

Hey!

Those 3.3 are quite fast and maybe you should look for something in a starter truck....the first gen TNX's are a good starter truck or the 2.5 T-Maxx's.....you can pick up both these trucks used at a far price ($200 or less).

once she gets the hang of things, then you can think about up-grading to something faster.

If you need any advise, this is the place to be, but you can always pm me and I'll do what I can to help.

You know, if your ever in my nabourhood (Bradford) your more than welcome to come and check out my collection and possably even try out a couple trucks and see how you like them.

Right now, I have a snow track set up in the parking lot next door and I run my trucks on it almost every day.

Hey Timtart, no problem, any time and that goes for the track as well.....every one is welcome to come and do just that.....

If anyone is interested, just pm me and I'll send directions and put a pot of coffee on...

I tend to use it more in the late afternoon or easly evening, there is less glare from the snow at that time....it gets hard to see where your driving when you can't see the track because your squinting or only using one eye..;)

Now if I can only get DavidB out to my track...........

Here in Calgary the snows all gone so were outside rippin’. Spent most of the winter modifying and getting kicked out of the underground car lots. Running out of good cardboard for jumps and happy to be out in the dirt again. :)
