i pluged in my battery at it caught on fire is it still under warranty?

My battery was in the car. It was my speed controller that caught on fire when I connected my battery. My car is only 3 weeks old.

i emailed them and they said send it in and they'll probly replace it, but because it's such a good idea, i installed my extra XL-10 ESC, now i can run probably any number of turns in my rc18t :D

My MLST esc fried the same way, except I was driving it at the time.

Like ppl above have said, call AE and Im sure they will send you a replacement.

^^^ i wish!!! unforunately, i wasn't there when it happened, but maybe i'm lucky cuz it looked like it was pretty violent... anyways, my solution (the best solution of all) was just to grab a full brushless kit. The guys at my lhs are really awesome, and i said, "Hey dad, i can get a brushless system for my rc18t for $100!!" i went over and checked out the dynamite C4 bl motor and 25A mini tazer, the guy behind the counter rung me up (i got other parts too) and said, "how much did you see these for?" "Oops, i thought they were $50 each, but i thought they were $100 total" (the motor and ESC are $60 each) so he said give me the $120 for the system and have the other parts for free. SWEET!!! it was like $35-$40 in parts, man i love my LHS!!. anyways, sry for the story, but ya, i suggest upgrading...

rc18t actually, i think the 10gt uses an LRP ESC, no AE, and LRP is a great company...
