View Full Version : Jato problems...
Hey all,
As I'm fairly new to RC, I have a question about a used Jato 2.5 that I bought. When I roll the truck forward, the rear tires spin fine. When I try and roll the truck backwards, the axle locks up and the tires won't turn. The clutch bell seems to rotate without binding. Transmission problems?
Please help out a Noob!

Could be - there is a one way bearing in the two speed that might be hanging up - i'd take a look. Those 2.5's can still be pretty rough on the tranny.

I have a jato 3.3 and it did the samething. Does it bind up when you are driving it? If so I would replace the clutch shoes, the spring wears out pretty fast. Then I would check the slipper clutch I have had the pads fall off and get jammed.

Hey thanks all. I found that the Jato had the wrong flywheel on it that was binding everything up. Its amazing what happens when you get the right parts installed.
THANKS AGAIN TO ALL!
