Hi there my pull start on my TRX 2.5 gets stuck in the pulled position when I go to start my 2.5 engine. Does this mean the spring inside is gone or is there a way to lube up the rope system so it will retract and be able to be pulled again?

Remove the starter and test it off the engine. Be careful when removing as the whole ordeal might turn into a complete mess.
My guess would be to replace the starter anyway.

I took it off last night and found that it acts a little better when off than when on. I assume the spring unit within is weak. So is it better to replace it or step up to a rotostarter?
