Well, I am happy to say that after the initial break-in on my LST2 it runs like a champ. I do have one problem however and that is starting it. I have the carb jetted about as perfect as I can get it but when I try to start it after it's cooled of it is a complete booger. I find that if I lean out the highspeed it starts easier but as the engine gets up to temp it cuts out. I do not want to run it lean and damage the engine. If anyone out there knows any secrets to the LST2 or the Dynamite Mach 427 please help!

You are fully priming the engine before starting ? Are you OVER priming the engine ?
The one way bearing on the starter isnt slipping ?

Thanks guys, I don't know what was causing it. It wasn't flooded and it was primed. Maybe because it is still kind of new??? It starts very easily now after a few more tanks of fuel and running it. Now I have another issue. I accidently half submerged the truck if a puddle I didn't see from where I was standing. The electronics are fine but the slipper clutch will not let the truck move. I pulled the bell to make sure it wasn't that (it's not) and checked the for/rev selector (fully engaged in either position). I tightened the nut on the slipper all the way and sometimes if the truck has been setting it will go, but not on a full throttle take off. Again after the truck heats up the slipper just, well, slips. The spur gears are turning as this happens so I know the drive clutch is functioning. Any ideas?????

I would replace the slipper pads...does it have cork pads or friction pins in the spur gear.

I ordered 2 sets of slipper pads so I have a spare if it happens again. As far as pads/pins I am not sure what you mean. I don't see any cork pads anywhere on the spurs. I do see that the hubs have needle bearings if that is what you mean. I am just curious if this is a common occurence or if my driving (accidentally drowning the truck) is to blame??? I already took the slipper pads out, scuffed them up a little, cleaned and dried them to no avail. I had the adjustment nut all the way tight as well. I am stumped and bummed. 1st day with the truck and no driving until the new pads are in.
