:( Just wondering if any other LST2 owners had any problems with their slipper pads??? I do believe that is the reason mine is inop at the moment. Worked fine then after a 2 hour break (dinner and duties) the truck wouldn't move. Sometimes it will start when the rpms are low and once in a while you can see the truck start trying to go when easing off on the throttle and it goes almost back to idle speed. I checked everything else I could think of and made sure that the spurs were turing under power with the throttle engaged. 1st day and I'm bummed out waiting on slipper pads. I just hope that's what it is.

About 90% sure that the slipper pads are not the problem. Those pads will in general last a very long time. I am going on 3 years.
Check the clutch shoes that mount on the flywheel. Be sure the slipper is set right. The tighter on the LST the better. The slipper pads rest inside of a clutch basket. This basket is held in place by a drive pin that goes through the tranny shaft. Be sure that pin is not broken. If none of these seem to be the fix, it very well could be an internal problem. I have seen the pins break inside the tranny that holds the gear to the shafts.

I have checked the clutch shoes and they are fine. The drive pin is also fine. When I hit the throttle (I have the spur gear cover off) I can see that the slipper is not turning. Everything is tight and the only other thing that I can think of is the one way bearing. I have tested it by hand and it seems fine. The slipper is not moving at all when I throttle up. Maybe I got a bum slipper???

I just wanted to say thanks for the help. I ended up disassembling the slipper and the OWB from the spurs. I then soaked them for about 25 minutes in a bath or denatured alcohol and Birchwood Casey's Gun Scrubber. After letting them dry I reassembled the 2 speed and tgihtened the slipper down. WOW, the truck actually wheelies now!!! I can't believe how much torque this thing has. GO LOSI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Happy Bashing

I am glad you got it going. I totally forgot about the one way bearing. I am
supposed to be Mr Losi....

I didn't think that it was the OWB at first because it worked by hand. Maybe the engine RPM's caused it to slip because it had dirt or somethingin it. If you decide to buy the gun scrubber to clean gears with (it cuts grease, oil and metal fouling) keep in mind not to get it on plastic. It disolves some plastics. Also keep it off of your skin because it is highly toxic and is absorbed thru the skin. LOVE PEACE AND HAIRGREASE
