how to fit your mini rc on a 1:8-1:10 scale car stand

I just bought a car stand a few months ago and I would rather not spend another ten bucks on a stand that will just take up more bench space. Now being the 1:18 scale rc's will not straddle the 1:8-1:10 scale car stands I figured why not use a 2x4 wood block as a spacer. It works perfectly and cost me nothing being it was left over from a fence project I did last summer.
