I am still new to the RC world again (after being out of it for over 15 years. I just bought a LST2 a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. Mt question is a simple one; How long of a life does a nitro engine have??? I am not racing, just bashing. I run it a little rich to prolong the life and because I am not racing it. I use "After run" oil after I'm done every time as well as completely draining the fuel out of the lines. I am using Trinity %20 and perform all the pre and post run maintenance. How long can I expect the Dynamite 427 to last??? It already had a gallon of fuel thru it and runs great. Just curious.

Hard to be accurate on this, because if you do a lot of extended full throttle running, it could be less, but I've come to expect a basher / fun-run RTR engine with proper care to last maybe 3-4 gallons, some longer. Racing actually isn't that hard on engines because you run the motor leaner (a little) but not as long.

Bashing for an hour without giving the motor a rest is hard on it. Running full throttle passes up and down the street repeatedly is very harsh use on the engine.
