nice cameras have alot to do with it, also tri-pods or steady aim(or what ever the heck they call it)
i personally use a canon rebel xt a digital slr camera... i dont care much for point and clicks i have never gotten a quality pic with em

most of the time the camera has to have a high megapixel :D

^^^^^not a camera n00b, lmao... ya, good cameras have almost everything to do with it. Kinda like taking a high-speed vid with ur phone vs. a real camera...

I tend to somewhat disagree with most of what has been said. While it is true that a high quality and high dollar ($500+), DSLRs such as Nikon D40 or Canon Rebel series' will make taking better quality pics easier, the bottom line is user knowledge and timing. I was able to get these pics last summer, taken with an HP M425 ($100, at the time). Feel free to look through my PhotoBucket page.

That being said, I did recently take the plunge into the DSLR world, with a new D40x. I was recently at the MotoRama event in PA and here's a few examples I snapped with it. Now, these were indoor pics, and this was my first time using the camera. Hopefully in due time, I'll get better :)

A high MP number means nothing as to the actual quality of the pic. What high MP allows is an ability to crop and print a larger high quality pic.

i just think if your taking the picture you just have to know when to take and angles to take it at. and if your driveing...it doesnt madder if you have a $700 camrea if the person taking the picture isnt good at it they will turn out sucky.
