It's pretty cool. I went out to see it about half an hour ago.:)
Awesome pics J! I think it's incredible! Sometimes I look up at the moon and think how strange it would be to have a colony of people living there.

Not sure if this is common knowledge but the star above the moon during eclipse name is regulus. And the star down and to the left is not a star but saturn.

Dave, I just used an old Canon 75-300mm lens with a 1.7x converter.
Gave me an effective 510mm lens.

I won this telescope in a contest years ago and I love it for lunar viewing. It was too dang cold to break it out the other night...it was like 5 degrees in Chicago.

Digital.
The lenses are old lenses from film days so there's a 1.6 crop factor with the 20D.

Awesome shots Jason. I have made many attempts at night stuff & not had real good luck. I have better equipment now & hope to get another chance here soon.
