That is one cool video. I have a T-Maxx but i have always loved the suspension on the Savage. That video with the Slow motion stuff is too cool!

I know that the Savvy has a lot of very enthusiastic followers and I'm certain it's a fine truck, . . . . . . . BUT WHICH ONE ?

This basically justifies my decision NOT to purchase a Savage. I bought a Revo instead - great racer / basher and there're enough discussion points on comparisons . . . . or not, so I won't dwell on this, it's not my point.

My reasons ?
WHY DO YOU BUY A TRUCK (or any vehicle) ?
One of the reasons will be, whether you admit it or not is you got the BADDEST version of the selected truck.

This just IS NOT POSSIBLE with HPI !!
You may take up to 2 weeks to fully justify and decide which one you're going for, then annother couple, or more to make your purchase . . .

What happens next ?

With Traxxas everybody seems to have their act together. The truck's good straight out of the box. If you want to HOP UP, then the sky's the limit.
The basic truck does not change for at least 18-24 months, normally longer.

With HPI, it's EVERY THREE MONTHS, and so similar yet so different that the only way to 'hop-up' is to buy the new one as well !! With WHAT ? !!!

Perhaps not a bad thing as many spares will be interchangeable.

That's my 'three penneth'.
Sorry HPI but I WILL NEVER BUY A SAVVY !! :(

The Savage went a few years before there was a upgrade. I dont know why this is always an issue.. I have both a Revo and a Savage X 4.6..I love em both. I also have a MGT 8.0 and I will get another something or other this spring....The XL looks killer and will no doubt be as durable as the others in the lineup

The Savage has been hands down the best basher of the group. The Revo is faster and it is the best for what it is but it is hopped with a non-traxxas engine...

Now what Losi is doing is very cheesy to me......I have had two Losi products and will never get another.......or will I??? lol
