What was your first sedan?

So I'm going through some boxes in the basement and I find my first sedan, a Tamiya TA-02. It has a Frewer Civic body with Tamiya decals and a few hop-ups. A few friends and I would get together on a Sunday (years ago) and burn up a few packs. What was your first sedan?

I had the carbon chassis TA-O2 kit. Racing special chassis or something - can't remember. Bought the Toyota Blitz body for it.

No idea where the body is, but the chassis is still around here somewhere.

Does a Mini Cooper count? Used to have great fun back in the early days of the RC club in Cork, trying to keep up with the 4WD boys as they drifted around on polished wooden floors. By the time we moved to a concrete floored hall, I was "racing" a TT01, but the mini would be pulled out when I wanted to have fun!

I have the losi XXXS RTR. I picked that one over the TC3 cause I liked the radio that was included. I didn't get into the sedan thing until much later I was always an off road guy but the thought of carpet racing appealed to me. Still does, however I have only raced once.

I have long since sold it, but my first sedan was an HPI RS4 Sport - Dodge Ram body. I never even ran it before selling it but it started my love for HPI stuff.

The ta02 was a sedan? I have a tamiya racing chevy s10 that is based on the ta02 chassis, I thought it was an off road Chassis.

I'm a late-comer to rc hobby, but my first was a 4-tec. I sold it and regretted it so much that I bought another. I use it often and runs 8 cells and a 19 turn motor (soon to be brushless powered)

My first was a tamiya tl01 chassis, it had the f150 lightning body but we ran the daylights outta them, I next got a associated tc3, hopped it up some raced it some, it sits on the shelf now, I seem to be leaning toward the micro side lately I have 6 micro cars now and a track in the backyard to "play with my toys" as my wife says...

Mine was a Tamiya TL01,Castrol Supra.Still have it on a shelf in my office.It led to a few others foating around the house,funny how that works.Nice Ride,Nice to see its still all there.

I believe mine was a TL-01. I know it had a Beemer body...just can't remember exactly on the chassis. Some time later, I picked up two of the original N RS4s. One for myself and a friend. We stayed awake all night building them. Then took em out...he got his started up first and was running it around. I was struggling with the P/S trying to get mine started. Next thing I know Im hearing a little engine getting closer and cloKABAAAMMM!!!
His glitched at WOT...and for some inexplicable reason, headed directly towards mine!!! It slammed mine and rolled over a few times. In the end, his was fine, nothing broken...one of my rear arms was broken...:mad:

Well I ordered some Tamiya drift wheels and tires for my TL-01.I took it off the shelf lastnight and am cleaning it up for some action.Here are a few pics of the project.Hope you like it.Wrench.

Well I finally dusted off the ol' Tom's Castrol Supra and took a few pics of it.It has been sitting on a shelf in my office for a few years now.The paint job was my very first RC car paint effort.It must weigh a pound or 2.I bought a can of Pearl White thinking that is all I'll need to paint er' up.Then back to the LHS for a second can when I could see through the body.Well when I went back for a 3rd can I said to the owner what is with this paint 2 cans and I can still see through it.He then informed me about backing it with plain white or the Florecent white backer paint,DOHH!!!!!.Homer Moment # 489. I installed some L.E.D.'s in the front and back and put her on a spare parts chassis up on the bookshelf.Later,Wrench.

My first was a 1/10 Panda/TTR Ferrari Testarossa. All alloy chassis and upper plate, band brake and .10 Thunder Tiger engine. Still have the car but the Lexan body turned brittle and had to be disposed of.

My first "Sedan" is an RS4 Rally, I alternate between an HPI AAR Cuda body and the Baja Bug body from the RS4 MT. I added threaded aluminum dampers and sway bars for more control and added a Team PRP Enduro chassis set. For power, it has a 13t speed gem2. I have a preference for the Hpi vintage racing tires because of the wide flat tread profile, they are fun on and off the pavement.:cool: My sweetheart runs an HPI Sprint using either a Focus body or an S-15 body.

Associated RTR TC3. When I got it, I was so suprised how fast it went!
I had no clue what a brush was, but now look at me! 4th place A-Main, 2nd place B-Main ,and 1st place C-Main up against my..............DAD!!!.........and a few newbs that only did 12 laps........:o ........Sorry guys!

Well, even though I am an off roader, I went down to the lhs and was watching a couple of old fellers...Litterally in their 60's, running some tc3's. I thought it looked cool, so, impulse buy, I got a TC4 RTR, funny thing is I see that noone else has said anything about the tc4. I like mine, kinda, Cause I cannot keep tires on it...(they shread in about 7-8 runs)...and now I need a new engine for it. Peice-o-crap. I drive it almost as much as I do my offroaders, but I get bored doing circles in front of the house. Here is a pic or 2 of it.

Mine was a TL-01 that I purchased four years ago when I entered the hobby during what my wife calls my second childhood. That car has seen everything - I even threw some 2.2's on it and a Dodge Ram body and ran it as a truck at the local dirt track until I got my truck. I still have it and it still runs great!

Well i bought the schumacher fusion .28 and omg is that car insane. I am getting hooked on onroad and the look of sedans in genral i also like to airbrush and sedan bodys look great with a custom paint job. I am looking into getting an elctric maby associated or xray

if pan cars count my first was a bolink eliminator. picked it up used for 20 bucks. rolling chassis with a steering servo. ran it tell i broke a king pin and chunked up the tires, then parked it. its been sitting in a box for the past probably 5 years. dug it out yesterday and hopefully within the next month (although early next year is looking more likely) have it back into a solid rolling chassis
