I currently have a TC5. If you have one, what do you think?

I was thinking about getting one. The guys at my club prefers XRay and the lhs have pretty much all the parts you would need to repair the car. But I want to buy a TC5 cause I think it looks great and read a lot about it. But I cant find people that own one. So what is your impression on this car?? Please do share with me.

I heard that the belt was a little tigh? Anything you like in particular with this car??

Thanks

I have one, and I race it on carpet with foams. I am running the set-up the team drivers used at the snowbirds 2008, and it drives like it is on rails. I am really likeing the way my car drives, also as long as you stock up on some parts you should be fine at the track. The car is easy to work on as well, which will make changing or tuning parts easy. Also the belts have been redone so they are fine now, as what you heard was that the old ones were a little tight until they were ran in (once ran in they are fine). Don't get me wrong I have driven my friends X-ray 007 (the 008 wasn't out yet) and that thing was really easy to drive, now that I have my car set-up it drives just as good. I really like my car. :)

I contacted Associated and they said that on the first few cars, the belts were tight through a small manufacture bug. But my set up the belt seems fine. I love my TC5. In the woven carbon fiber and blue aluminum, it rocks! Definetly stands out from the X-Ray's silver anodized parts. The included turnbuckles are blue anodized titanium, and a big step up from the steel turnbuckles. I was stupid enough when assembling the car that I forgot to use a paper towel to protect the shock shafts, so I ended up scratching them. NOOOOOO!! My BEAUTIFUL GOLD COVERED SHOCK SHAFTS! But the shocks are still very smooth.

I've raced with this car and I have no complaints.

so how does the tc5 hold up to parking lot/street racingz? not bashing but cruzin up and down the street with a mod. or is this only a track car? it seems to beatiful to use on the street! but i wana buy a new updated touring car for street/sometimes track use.

also how's the part support on this car? i don't wana buy it then cry because the parts are impossible to get!

anyone? thanxxx
