Just a thought, was curious to see what others have noticing around the country. I am concerned that MT racing is slowly following suit of 1/10 trucks. I have noticed less and less interest in this class. Talking with some of my fellow local racers, most of them say they have given up MT because it is only Revo anymore. Others say they would rather run Truggy which gives the large vehicle feeling, but "better" performance. Others say they do race MT anymore because they are tired of constantly working on their vehicles and would rather run 1/8 or Truggy because the vehicles are more durable. Whatever the reason, I hope this class doesn't die out. I think the new Revo is good for the class because it can easily get a new racer on the track. But, it does add another Revo to an already Revo swamped class. Please provide your feedback, hopefully it is better than what I have seen.

Wow, I have to say that it is the complete opposite here. Everyone at the track with the exception of a few are running MT's. The guys that actually own the track and their shop are specifically monster truck runners (even though they both run T-maxx's). I know of a few guys that run stadium trucks but usually use these as ballfield runners or in parking lots. I myself am looking at a Jato 3.3 to compliment my LST2 and vintage Tamiya Fox. Only reason is that I wanted a sickening fast dirt runner. I would NEVER part with my LST2 and love it at the track.

My local track is starting to loose interest also. It is similar reasons. They want to race buggies and truggies for speed and less breakdowns. I myself will always be a MT guy, and even though some day I may own a truggy, I will still stick to my roots for racing. I grew up on a tamiya super beetle, and still had it until a few months ago when I stripped it down and cut up the chassis to make a trailor which with all atempts to make work kinda fail.
I saw a young kid at the track not long ago running a 1.5 T-Maxx, and he pulled last place. However, he did learn how to drive a little better. I hope he does not give up, learns to drive well, and daddy gets him a better truck to race. I hate to see kids get discuraged and end up resenting the sport.

i dont have any local tracks, but when i saw the outdoor wolcott hobby race way, i saw about 7 savages, 4 MGTs, 8 revos, and 2 tmaxxs on the track...

around here there are no offroad tracks/racing.
it also depends on the area where ur racing.
the other thing is that to build a race monster truck you hav to throw alot of $$$$ into a truck to make it "race worthy"(keep up with the revos)

Not enough interest at my local track to run MT anymore. 1/10 is actually ST/buggy combined now, 1/10 gas truck, 1/8 buggy, truggy. That's it.
