Thought about it, just for the fun of doing it. performance wise, i highly doubt it would hold a candle to elec. power but it would be a neat experiment. I think a 4 stroke with water cooling would be most impressive. :)

that would be cool, but you'd be wasting very precious nitro fuel (what is it like $30 a gallon these days??) but ya, traxxas did a revo crawler that was designed well enough to go through a course without stopping too much... i'd check that out for starters...

The XTM X-Factor and Mad Force could be nitro crawlers quite easily. They already have solid axles with great articulation. You would just need to reduce the gearing down a lot.

lol, ^^^ it depends on fuel quality my friend... i take it u use blue thunder? that's a sport fuel, where as O'donnel fuels still come in sport models, but have more high quality ingredients in them... a gallon of O'donnel g2 (i think it's g2, idk) goes for arboud $30 give or take $5

^^^^ and that's why novak invented the BL crawler system...
Bryons is is the g2 for around 26.99 (30%)
O'd cost 24.99 I just bought a gallon
Traxxas cost the same I just bought some.
Nitro crawling in really hard on clutches and all other drive train parts.

I just kinda like the Idea of a solid axle-nitro Rig (sorta like a 1:1).
Ive got a magnum NX and a niro evader BX and
Ive been thinking of combining the two to make solid axle MT of sorts
with the NX .18, and the transmission from the evader (its already got brakes and a slipper, already on it!:D ). it wouldnt be that hard its just I'd have to convince my dad to help me. (hes the guy to convince, hes a machinist)
