Hi folks,
I have a Spektrum 3channel radio (a DX2 I think?), and I'd like to use it on a second car, can I use a Futaba (or other manufacturer's) receiver with it? It doesn't look like Tower carry spektrum stuff...

The answer is no. In this case, Spektrum is using a different type of 2.4 gig technology than Futaba. Spektrum finds an available channel and locks onto it, while Futaba's FASST system is channel hopping. Even if technologies were the same, proprietary communication encoding would prohibit one system from "talking" to the other.

Cheers Frank, looks like I'll be digging out the MX3 for the missus!
