I'm Sorry I haven't got back to you on the WEB-MAXX. It's been pretty crazy around my house lately.
Anyhow... THIS TRUCK IS AWESOME !!! I've had a few Maxxs over the years(which my friends currently own), but this machine is by-far... OK, WAY-WAY-FAR better.
We had it out only a couple of times(like I said it's been busy around here)which have been nothing short of some of the best bashing fun we've had together.
My nephew thought it was cool to drive an RC that was worth more than his uncle's daily driver car.
We ran it like we stole it (just like you said to David B.) and it has worked flawlessly. It still looks great, now it just has some scratches & such to give it some caracter... the back bumper has a little extra though I LOVE HIGH SPEED WHEELIES !!

I'll try to get some pics posted soon. (I don't have a way to do digital video)
I like this truck alot!
I'm considering selling my aluminum Truckzilla Savage to free up some RCshelf space and to balance out the cost of the new JATO 3.3 I just bought... man this stuff is addicting!

Let me know how the jato is, durability/drivability. I am in the market for a new nitro to bash the crap out of.

WILL DO... it will be a week or so before it shows up. I found it on eBay with a "Buy It Now" of $300 with free shipping(but he said the shipping may be a bit slow). This guy was selling a whole bunch of them at this price... couldn't pass it up!
If it's as good as the videos on Traxxas.com I'll be a HAPPY HIGH SPEED WHEELY PULLIN FOOL , cause nothins better than that except double backflip rampin at the motocross track!

It's hard to say for sure(I've seen your truck and it's beeeeautiful).
I can only comment on my own experience and that would be my aluminum Savage Truckzilla(which I'm thinking about selling) that has been my most expensive hobby project ever(not quite as expensive as yours)... and I couldn't stand NOT to see what it could do... so we did... many times. We just got hooked on something this big pull wheelies and doing 3rd gear backflips. My personal theory is don't build it too nice to have fun with because HAVING FUN IS WHAT THIS HOBBY IS ALL ABOUT !!
I hope you get up the nerve to have some fun with your cool Maxx someday, because if it's half as much fun as we are with the WEBB MAXX you won't regret it in the long run and with all that bulletproof stuff you have you shouldn't have to fix it very much either. ENJOY

yea i was also considering selling because a track is opening up right next door to me and i want a truggy ( ho bao st ) and i want a kit because the reason i built the red maxx is to learn every aspect of the truck like tranny diffs and so on now i can tear one down and build it back up again pretty fast and make very little mistakes. as when i buy a car already put together it's a little scary tearing it down and trying to piece it back together.when i bought my first nitro back in july it was a s maxx and i did not want to take it apart for that reason so i built big red but now i have some experince with building and now i build customs .i'm in the middle of a custom build now and that one will be bashed even know that it has pricy items on it but money buy's bullet proof and happines for me. i will post some pics of that build . the tranny is already on here . listed as a thing of beauty

That would be great to have a track next door!
It is definately less scary to fix them after you've built one, now fixing is just about as much fun as running them... almost!
GOOD LUCK with a Truggy

I'm sorry, I've tried and tried, but I can't seem to get any pics uploaded to the site.
I'll try to get someone to help me out.
By the way, the carbon fiber wing didn't last but a few days on the bashin journey. The screw heads pulled through when it caught the ground on a high speed wheelie/jump... it was crazy.
I'll put it back on somehow because it does look cool !
