i am just wondering when is a good time to change out your cluch shoes? i think mine are about shot, i have looked at them and i really cant tell. and for a tmaxx would Aluminum shoes or composit shoes be better just for bashing and what not.

Well I Think A Aluminum 3 Shoe Set Up Is Very Nice Thats What I Have In 2 Of My Trucks . If Your Compisite Shoes Are Worn The Least Bit I Would Change Them .

I perfer the MIP clutch shoes. I run them "backwards" where they bite into the CB, insted of dragging into it. I also check the CB and shoes every time I have the engine off or before every race day. I give the CB a little scuff up with a scotch brite pad and make sure theres no oil residue on it from the front bearing. I would only use alu shoes if I was racing regularly where I inspected my set-up more often, as they require more maint. and are harder on the CB. Just my opinion though.
