Ok so i am currently painting my 2nd body ever, and since i am playing on the web between coats, i thought i would post the work as i am doing it. so far i have masked it off (i love contact paper :) ) and laid down the 1st 3 coats of pactra candy red rattlecan paint.

Next step is a shot of "indy silver" to back the red and make it come out sweet :)

oh, and nevermind the "triangle" above the outside of the rear fender on the 2nd pic. that was excess contact paper that i folded up there.

please excuse the horrible lighting. the room i have it drying in has only one light source and so most of this light is coming from the flash.
the indy silver layer is down.

next step is to take off that masking, and lay down my blue border masking.
on, and my fingers are all silver sparkly now from the paint blow back haha.

ok so last night i layed down my masking and everything and today i put down my coats of blue. I ran out of white contact paper, so i had to put down clear on one side.

next step is going to be to take off the rest of the masking and lay down the silver. the silver works to back my blue and its also going to be the last color in my paint scheme.

ok, the paint is 100% laid down now. the silver ran just a little bit so its not perfect, but for my 2nd body i dont think its all too bad.

tomorrow i am going to buy a new set of wheels and tires for running on more hardpacked surfaces. those pro line speed paws are great for the soft, loose dirt at the track in pueblo west, but im not sure how great it would work on hardpack.
