With truggies quickly becoming the hot ticket, this thread should be smoking.
-Does anyone know about the Team Associated truggy? Has anyone spoted any spy photos?
-With the Losi 8T now running the tracks across this great land, how well are these trucks holding up ?

The Team Associated truggy will be interesting, i would like to see pictures to!
At my track there are two people who run 8ightT's. They call themselves the 8ight team. There pretty fast and i can barely beat them with my CRT..
So there is the first post to the first thread... :D

Nice Jammin you have. I kinda agree that the 8ight t is going to be one tough truggy to beat. I am waiting for something from Team Associated as well. It looks like a great design on the 1/8 buggy and a truggy should soon follow. I dont know if they will be as quick as Team Losi, but anytime this summer will suit me just fine.
I have been looking to purchase a new truggy soon. I am pleased with my Hellfire but there are a few issues with it that can keep it from a serious contender.

Thanks on the comment, I would go with the CRT Pro kit or Team Losi 8ight T "Race Roller."
I have to agree with you on the Team Associated thing.

Have you buddies at the track experienced any throttle/brake servo trouble on the 8t ?

Losi 8 Buggy drivers are having a good bit of trouble. I have setup a few and there is no margin for error.

Are you talking about the Pro Kit? My pit man drives a Losi 8ight buggy RTR and he has very little problems. The only thing is he has constant glitching..

Robert,
I have seen the problem on both the kit and RTR. I have spoken to Losi about this issue. They will give you some ideas to try but no sure fix.
Flex and endpoint adjustments must be very precise when setting up the buggy.

Hi. I want a truggy so bad but something always comes up and I have to postpone getting one. That could be good or bad. Good by the new models coming out and upgrades 4 the current ones. bad cause racing season could be over b4 ya know it. Here where I live racing season is usually May thru September. I was going to get a Muggy then a Mutilator and now seriously considering the Hyper8 truggy. Any words on this Truggy? I read the reviews. Thanks.

Oh yea. Money is a issue. So that leaves out the 8T. Don't wanna spend more than 500 dollars.

Hm I would say it's between these 4, The CRT RTR, Axial/ robotics mantis, Hyper ST, and the Matrix arena..

I was wondering if AE is coming out with at truggy version of their buggy? I more than likely think so.

You really need to pad the electronics as much as you can in the 8's. Make certain you have the two o-rings under the battery box part of the radio tray. Also check to make sure the servos are not sitting on the chassis, if so, use spacers to raise them up. Use the grommets supplied with the servo to damp vibrations. If you swap to an aluminum steering horn, this transfers a lot of shock to the servo; guys are using the plastic arms with the metal collars around the spline inputs so they do not strip out, the plastic arms flex a little when shocked. Finally make sure your endpoints are set properly and not locking out to where the steering servo is emitting a whining noise, this means its strained and leads to the servo burning out.

thanks ill check all that out and let my friend know about that allso anyone race in the r/c pro series midwest Div need a pit man and would do the same for them as long as we are in diffrent mains or quals also i think i found a desent way on making the crt .5 use a standered stering sevo and recever pack with a regualer recever also all i did was cut the post that comes down from the throtal sevo and made the cut flush with the trey and in the radio trey i only have the battory i it and drilled a hole on top for the wires to come out and atached the recever on top of the lid will have to make something to keep water and dirt off it thow let me know if any one has a better idea

I like my Hellfire SS as well. once you get the kinks worked out its a descent ride. I broke a front A arm last sunday but I've had the SS for almost a year now and believe it or not this was the first break! It has seen it's fair share of track time too! Ironically enough I was bashing in my yard when it broke. I came down a little too hard and a little too crooked and there you have it. SS durability is top notch in my book.I am a big associated fan (love my MGT) and if I got another truggy it would probably be the associated if they end up makin one.:)
By the way. My hellfire seems to jump awfully nose high. I rarely manage to finesse the breaks just enough to bring the nose down without over doing it. Anyone know of any set up tips that would help with this problem?

My 8T RTR has been amazing. The only problem is the JR steering servo. Went through two. I now have the 1015 ACE servo and I'll never use any other servos. This RTR gives all kinds of people fits when at the track. I'm new to racing but catching on fast. 8T all the way:D
