So I read the instructions for breaking this engine in, and it says to let it idle for one tank the the next tank tune for power then it is done. Does that seem right? Am I missing somthing? I have never had to use less than 5 tanks for any other break in I have ever done. Any one have any sugestions?

Seems very short to me....i usually go 5 runs also running super rich and leaning out a little each time before final tune. I would stick with that method - better safe than sorry!

well the instructions i have it says idle 2 tanks without engaging the clutch and then run 2 more tanks in an oval pattern at no more that half throttle with a break inbetween throttle to let motor cool .doing this with out touching any settings. then start to fine tune.is this for the spec 1 or the rr version?

I like the traxxas method as well. Let me know how yours goes Dale.

Tmaxx junkies, did you follow the directions or did you do your own way?
