My son has an E-Savage with the factory wheels but he wants new wheels and tires. We tired Revo wheels and HPI 6 Spoke Wheel Black 3116 but both sets rub on the shocks and turn buckles. I would like to know what we can get to fit. I was thinking of getting 17 mm nuts and increasing the wheel selection. Any suggestions would help.

hmmm its 1/10th scale like a t-maxx right? well if so since your having troubles with revo wheels, then you might need an offset for the rims. im no expert on rims and tires but thats just my .02

hmm...you'll need wheels with 14m hubs and extra offset - RPM wide maxx rims should work perfect. Revo rims have a very deep offset, almost flush with the outer bead and stock maxx/savage rims are pretty deep too. Widemaxx's add about 1/2 in on either side from a standard rim, i think that will be enough.

I just got a setup for my Ezilla and they fit well. I picked up Maximizer 1/2" offset beadlock wheels (actually I already had them), and then I got some Proline Badlands for the truck too. It fits nice. You are going to pay more for the wheels up front, but once I went to beadlocks I never looked back. If you shop around you might find them cheaper then factory direct.

Beadlocks allow you to change the tires out an infinite number of times instead of gluing tires to wheels and being stuck with that setup.

I used:

And these tires, Proline badlands-

yeah if you can find fairly inexpensive beadlocks, got that route. they save a lot of time, taht is once you get used to screwing all the lil screws in, but overall really worth the money. maximizer makes really good beadlock rims

I still am looking for wheels. I just had a set of Proline 40 series road dawgs, on I think they were on T-Maxx wheels. They work nice. It still flips over everytime you back it up and gun it, but with the factory wheels it would lift the front wheels and flip just when you gunned it. I made a wheelie bar for it today in the machine shop and one for my Savage X 4.6. I can't wait to try them.

I haven't started it yet. If it is anything like my Hellfire K4.6 HO it will be sweet. I like the E-Savage too it is just new for my son but it works really well.
