I was wondering which car I should get. It is going to be mainly at the smooth, large parking lot at the school behind my house. Here are my favorites:

---- OFNA DM-One RTR (1:7 scale)

---- Kyosho Inferno GT (1:10 scale)

My budget is no greater than $550. The Inferno GT would be the Ferrari body, of course. I want the fastest RTR car possible. What are the pros and cons of both cars? Thanks in advance,

yah but...I like the layout of the inferno and dm-one. and plus, the 4tec is too fast for the area that i am going to bash. i have already thought about that one though. thanks for the suggestion though. i appriciate it.

does it have to be electric? u cud get a 4 - tec and velineon and get 3s. easy 75 mph there.
if not get rustler vxl and 3s.
my e-revo does 60 on 12 cels so 3s in a 4 tec wud b insane.
if not get the dm one purely for size and fun factor

Yah...I am thinking about buying the DM-One. I have always wanted it, but now they have the RTR version. The only problem is this: where can I buy it unused and still in the unopened box for $470? In the March 2008 RCD, they had a small picture of the OFNA DM-One RTR and it said that it was $470, but it dod not say where to go to get it for that price. Where is the cheapest place to go?

there is the link you need. As for the 4-tec, my uncle bought one NIB @ the local track for 325 I think. He has trouble taking off cause it likes to wheel spin alot causing doughnuts. Also, he has had alot of trouble keeping tires on it. 1 curb check at speed and he spends 40-50 bucks fixing busted parts. I have the AE TC-4 RTR and I love it. A little extra gearing and she is very fast, the esc is not effected so far by over gearing, but then again, I dropped in a 19 turn trinity motor, and with the stock gears the acceleration was better along with the top speed. With my new job, I am staying at hotels alot, and this hotel in Shamrock Texas I stay at has a decent parking lot that is a little slick, makes for great drifting. I am taking my video camera with me next time. I am turning speeds of around 35 mph or so right now, but with a large enough area, and a little more gear, I may be abole to hit 40. By the way, I am using 4500 mah ni-mh 6 cell stick packs. A 7 cell would make this car a whole new critter. It will accept a 7 cell side by side. Tires wear decent, I have not broken ANYTHING AT ALL, and there are alot of tuning options, along with aftermarket and hop up parts. I was never a sedan guy until I got this car, and I drive it more than any other car in my fleet. Including my racing revo. You should check into this car before making any decicions, I have never once been dissapointed, and it is the only car that I have ever owned that has not broken. I have only purchased 1 new set of tires and rims for 20 bucks, and a forced air induction kit for 30 buck or less. I have some pics in this forum under Show us what you drive...Updating my little babies. Check it out.

I meant bodies for the DM-One. Those at prolineracing.com are for offroad vehicles, and they will not fit nor look good on the DM-One. Can you think of any other place?

ummm actually proline does have car bodies...like onroad cars...ummm go to proline and on the left hand side it has a colum, and in that colum there is a thing called protoform, click on that, and some onroad car bodies should come up, and there should be a thing on the left that has other catagories for onroad bodies. you could also go to hpi's site, they make on road bodies to. hope this helps

And the body needs to be more than 610mm long, because that is how long the chassis is.
