Here's something I've been messing with - a protoype TLT crawler chassis from www.xtremercracing.com.
Bruce made this chassis out of G10, once things are finalized the production chassis will be made from carbon fiber.
The chassis is designed around RC4WD's R2 transmission. I have also used Fat-Rock Axle-Cs as well as a Fat-Rock front battery/servo mount.

Cool, and it almost looks real (well it has thea same shape as a real one). Do you have a pic of the bottom of the chassis, and a pic of how much movement the chassis has?

Depends on whether or not it goes into production. This is one of one prototypes that exist.
That being said...I put it under the drill press tonight.
Tore the chassis apart and drilled new holes for the front upper links. Figured I'd do the same for the rear. I need to move the rear upper link mount from where you see it in the pics.
Installed a tranny with motor, servo (linkage isn't hooked up yet), and 8 cell 2/3A pack from thecrawlerstore.com.

So far I can see a couple of things that need to be changed but nothing major.

That looks outstanding!
I have been looking at Rock Crawlers for the past few weeks, my only problem is noone in New Zealand sells parts for them (hardly anyone has rockcrawlers here). Oh and also there isnt anywhere around here that has the rock crawling terrain.
Looks great anyhow.

Marco, you don't really NEED rocks to run a truck such as this.
The Germans (and a good bit of the European community) have been doing trials courses for a while now.
They have some rather inventive obstacles.
Also...expanding spray foam and some rubberized truck bed liner is an easy way to make a lightweight and portable crawling course.

I like that idea with the foam and bed liner. However I guess I am out of the loop when it comes to building a trail track as the ground where I live is farmed (which means it is flat).
