I have a spin start for my Sportwerks mayhem and I love it. I just got an axial .28 for my t-maxx and I see that there is an option for a back plate that supports the roto start. Now the spin start uses a ball end hex drive to turn over the engine. The roto start uses an end like a dog bone to start the engines. So my question is, can the roto start wand fit the spin start handheld? I would love to not need to lug both a roto star and a spin start around when I want to run my cars.

Well, i really don't know the answer to your question, but i just bring my cordless drill, the chuck accepts all my spin starts :) that way i don't have to worry about charging up extra batteries and lugging around 2-3 starters. just make sure it's spinning the right way, that could be bad.

i know the sulliven tiger drives are very rellieble and RCD even suggests it and they use a cordless drill to start them and are only about $20 depending on wich moddel you chose:)

The shaft will not fit the Losi unit. I know that's a bummer but if you know of anyone that welds, you can have one made up to fit.
