i've been drooling over this chassis set-up since i've seen it, and finally picked one up. just flat gorgeous!!! had to figure out where everything went, and not completed yet but it's coming along. I still have about 1/2in chassis lift and 1/2 in body lift to play with yet, but fits standard 2.2's no problem as is. i have some new shoes coming for it, the blackfoot tires are for mock-up.

Thanks - the blackfoot tires aren't at all scale (neither are the 2.2 rims) but they definitely give it some serious attitude.

it's actually nice out today! going to try and get some painting done. I tried to mount the CR01 wheels here, but they did not have enough offset and hit the steering knuckles. :( i hope the eight shooters fit. I'll get some pics soon!

thanks, i got the flat iron tires in this weekend, hope to get the final details sorted out and get it back on the trails this week. it is much lighter all around, chassis really made a difference.

^^^ sry to say, but i agree... hate the huge sidewalls, too much frame showing IMO but i guess there's really only so much you can do to move the body around on a scale crawler...

Yup, i'll agree these tires are HUGE! part of the reason they look so tall is the BL rings are black too, they look real good on standard 2.2 rims. Love the pattern though, and seem pretty grippy.

The body is lifted off the frame which is why it looks so high, the Junfac chassis comes with both suspension lifts and body lifts. that's about 2/3 of the body lift, any higher looks real bad but it's needed to clear those big ol' sneakers. Plan to finally do some painting in the wheelwells and maybe add some inner fenders....when i get to it, new job is keeping me pretty busy!

Besides, i like looking at my billet chassis! :):)

made a few changes, this truck was sitting on the shelf as a shelf queen, and it was way past time to take it out and get dirty.

I swapped the large heavy beadlocks for a set of dyed wild dagger rims with shaved dagger tires. I like the stance they give, and the shaving off of the spikes just made them look like regular chevrons. I carved out the center of the treads a bit too to help traction. They softened up quite a bit and flex decent out on the terrain. I also dropped and rebuilt the suspension with 2 leafs on each corner to allow much more flex.

I love this truck!
