Hey all, was you may know my BL/RPM RC18T is up for sale now... and of course it's almost summer (!!!!) so I'm lookin into gettin a job, earnin some $$ here and there, selling the rc18t, and buying a nitro truck. My first instict was "nitro stampede/rustler/sport" so that's what i'm aiming for. All i really want i a reliable nitro off-roader with similar feel to my electric stampede which runs an 8.5 turn LRP Vector X-11 and 4200Mah 6-cell pack. Also, i'd like to have a truck that is more or less easy on the gas consumption. Any suggestions are welcome, and i may be willing to trade my rc18t for a nitro if you have one PM and we can comprimise. Thanks!!

how about a jato 3.3? smaller block, good on gas, and all the speed you can handle. on or off road. my 2.5 was insane, cannot imagine a 3.3. I Ran it with moabs and it handled great!
nitro stampede is a unique ride, and less parts that you have to stock too since you have an electric!

^^^^ that's another big part i like, the fact that i have an elec. pede so i could change out parts. Sry jonel but for the money the LX Ultra One doesn't seem very fast (or affordable) too me, and im a trucker man at heart... like the idea of the jato but man, prices these days!! o well, i'll do a lot of work this summer, just wana know what i want so i can put a huge poster of it up in my room for some insperation/motivation lol

r u serious?!?!?!^^^ those things are out of my range for one thing ($$$ is low) i would never drive a losi vehicle in my life, and they're all gas-guzzlers. I can't afford that kinda stuff...

hmmmmm, now i'm thinkin' about a deisel conversion... if i do end up getting that t-maxx from my buddy, i'd sell it and get a stampede/other such truck (maybe a 4wd, any suggestions??) and put a diesel engine in it. The adds say double the power, half the maintainence, and half the cost. So, how much does model deisel fuel cost? and what engine will i have to get to do a deisel conversion? thanks!
Diesel conversions got along way to go............youtube it
Why sell the maxx if you get it?
If you want to be cheap with nitro......good luck, If you want to be affordable with nitro, keep the maxx if you get it.
BTW, what do you got against losi and associated? both are great companies!!

well, for one i'm used to driving my 2wd elect. pede and want a similar feel (same kind of speed/torque at least...) and fuel costs about $30 a gallon, and i drive a lot. As for AE, i guess i should try one of their bigger trucks, cuz i only had an RC18T from their line-up. As for losi, i see all of their monster trucks as a person would see F-350's with the economy the way it is, as IMO their electric line only have the MLST/MLST2/Ram going for them, their composites are junk too... now HPI, i just realized, was the first hobby-grade RC co. i came upon. I'd like to see if i can get a firestorm or that 4wd truck that they have (something with a 3.0, brainfart so i can't remember the name). whoa, long post lol
The xxx-t is a great electric truck from losi........
Once you go 4wd, you be like what was I thinking driving a 2wd......lol

^^^ read title as "Looking into NITRO" lol, i don't doubt that the XXX-T is a great truck, cuz i've seen them in action and they've got some hot stuff, but i wana taste of nitro... btw, i have driven 4wd (RC18T) but my though was more like, "What am i thinking driving an rc18t?!?!" lol
lol, rc18t are small, my little bro has one.

^^^^ veryyyyy true. The first truck i wanted was the Cen Magnum X, and i now see you can get it at a price similar to the stampede. I'd really love to have one, seeing that i just got word that the diesel conversion for the 3.3 engine is $200

the nitro st-15 also has alot of hop up options from tower hobbies that are pretty cheap plus this car is really tough I have jumped it off a 3 foot jump and landed on the roof and when i ran over to check on it i fliped it over and drove away and all i broke was the front post holder wich is only like $5 from tower hobbies:)

the st-15 sounds like a nice truck (has a name-brand OS engine right?) but i kinda wana stick to a more name-brand truck, with a bit more aftermarket support (RPM, FLM, integy, pro-line, etc.) and just BTW, i've jumped my stampede 40 ft. in the air landed on the left-rear tire nothing broke...
