Well I Bought A Mini Lst Some Time Ago When I Thought I Was Going To Get The Mini Bug But It Never Really Happened So I Sat On A Shelf For Monthes. I Just Could Not Bring My Self To Sell It So I Said The Heck With It Lets Make A Show Mini Truck. Right Now I Am Really Into The Trukky Look And Have Converted Most Of My Fleet To Look Like Truggys But I Also Love The Monster Truck Look And Decided To Build One . This Started Out As A Mini Lst .this Has The Brand New 8400 Kv Mamba Mini Brushless System That Was Just Relesed And It Just Is To Much For This Truck As The Center Diff Just Keeps Chewing Up Gears So Now It Is A Shelf Queen Untill I Get A Smaller Brushless Motor.

looks great!!
BTW Integy makes a nice aluminum center locker gear that drops right in - instead of messing with a diff in there. Worked wonders on my MLST

Cool looking truck! She gonna get some carpet runs on her, or just prevent dust from collecting on an area of your shelf?

WELL THIS IS A MINI LST WITH THE RAMINATOR TIRES BECAUSE THEY ARE BIGGER AND I THINK THEY LOOK COOL. LOOK ON EBAY FOR MINI LST PARTS BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SAME THING.

Honestly, if you don't "properly" adjust the DD Slipper to actually SLIP some as it's designed to do you'll keep blowing differential gears.
Also, keep in mind that while you're proposing that you built this as a "show truck" you're obviously still running it, hard I guess, but that show trucks are supposed to be just that - show and no go! They sit in storage, or on the shelf, until the next show - and if they're ever run at all it's very gently to not strain the components.
BUT, since you're using it as a runner - I would suggest that you remove some of the bling you added as you're probably doubled the weight of the stocker with all that aluminum, and you're expecting the diffs and all the other running gear to survive the extra ponies of the big-bore, high-powered motor system they were never intended or designed to run as well as toting all that extra poundage.
I couldnt have said it better myself , I am running a Mamba 8000Kv motor with a 3s LiPo and have never had too rebuild the center tranny .
Get rid of the locked center diff and get an MIP ball diff , it will also allow some slippage and take away some of the stress put into the tranny .

It's sad but really the only way to get them running properly is to mod them. At least that's the way I see it. My mini LST, like the majority of them out there, had the servo issue, so I say why replace with the same defective parts when you can upgrade? The Mini LST I'll admit has a pretty impresive design and with a little work it can be made into a capable racing truck. Besides, I think that they're just way too cool looking to sit on a shelf and collect dust.

Well the Mini LST's servos are certainly lacking, but don't get the wrong idea about the Mini LST, it's one solid little truck when it comes to durability and design.
