hi if you need a water proof esc try these ,there has been some bad reports of these esc but i think it was a batch that missed quality control . i have 3 mtronicks and have never had a problem with them and they are 100% waterproof thanks ......http://www.mtroniks.net/details1.asp/ProductID/179/Genesis-PRO.htm

its really easy all you really need is a waterproof box that is big enough for your esc, a drill with a big drill big and a hot glue gun. first take the drilkl and put a hole in the container big enough for your wires to come out, then put your esc in the box and your wires through the hole, then hot glue gun around the wires so no water gets in, plug in your esc and your ready to go. -Wes

esc gives of heat confine that heat to a box with no cool air to get round the esc heat sink .and ambient temp rises very quick result thermal shut down ...you need a esc that is built to be waterproof thanks

hey man frist of all you should have said if you wanted a brushed or brushless system lol but i would just buy a water proof esc for brushed you can get a traxxas one i know there not the best but they work pritty good i have it in my slash the xl-5 waterproof, and that brushless one looked pritty good that notatoy mentioned, also look at the lrp sport http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXRXX6&P=0, or this one which is a bit better http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXRXX7&P=0
