This is my TLT build that I pulled the build progress for from other forums. It takes you up to it's current running state. Enjoy!
Specs:
TLT Axles
Pede Tranny
Pede sliders
T-Maxx shocks w/ Integy soft springs
Traxxas links
custom/fabbed by me chassis
Proline Masher 2Ks on Traxxas Pede 5-spoke wheels
Tobee Craft 34mm wideners
Novak XRS
Futaba servo
Orion 23t - may change later - Currently a Johnson silver can 540
HPI Rubicon body
I've been working on the chassis here and there since August 2005. Nothing real special but it was my first attempt at building a chassis. It meets my needs though because it allowed me to do a laydown tranny and I can mount a battery within the length of the chassis. I had some shock mount towers I did away with since they made a funky body mount height and the chassis sides were shortened by one inch to get the wheelbase down to 12.5 inches. It's all holding together with JB weld!
The process was fun, frustrating, slow, interesting, but I got what I wanted out of it.
Here are the first pics I took of the build.
