Recently I purchased my 1st nitro from an auction to benefit a school. The truck I got was a Sportwerks Reaction with remote start and reverse. Given that I've been into electric for 5 years now, I decided I just did not want to run this truck. I tried 4 times to sell on ebay, dropping the price little by little and still no takers. I had it displayed a week at a local service station, asked several friends and still no one interested. Today this dude demostrated 5 different trucks, 2 electric, 2 nitro and 1 gas for me. I couldn't even get him interested in this truck, either to buy or show me how to run it. He would never give me a straight answer as to why either.

So, RC Drivers what in the world is wrong with this truck that no one wants it?

I'm serious though, previously owned nitro vehicles don't sell very well because nitro requires so much maintainence that people a lot of times neglect them and the nitro goes to the pits. Even though your nitro hasn't been used yet, nitro is just somthing most people want to buy new.

yeah no kidding. my freinds duratrax engine that he got on the Bay wasnt taken care of at all (NO AFTER-RUN OIL!). I'm the 3rd or 4th owner of it and
its finally seein some kindness *COUGH* 'move over milner' *COUGH* in the way of a rebuild

for price, i think $20 or $30 over half for a only opened car, just half for a fairly new ''runned'' vehicle. take this advice with more than one grain of salt

nutther thing is its pretty much viewed only as a noobs truck

After reading everyone's posts I broke open the box, charged the starter battery, poured some Traxxas top fuel in and hit the power button. Once the glow plug warmed, I held a rag over the stinger and hit the starter button. Rather neat little setup. Alway it went. I've ran 2 tanks before breaking the rear shock tower and burning the plug.

Over the years I have had several Traxxas, 1 Mini Quake, 1 RC MT18 and now this one from Sportwerks. Their manual leaves so much to wonder about. Cannot find hardly anything on the web about maintenance for it. Manual doesn't have photos like Traxxas'. I have to go back to Horizon Hobby to get parts. There's no hop-ups that I know of. No 800# tech support to call. You call on your nickel and they return your call.

Can anyone offer me greater insight into owning this truck other than bashing my post? Did RC Driver ever do any review or test run with the truck?
