I was wonderin are more ports better in a nitro engine? I saw that GO tecnology had these differnent ports 3,5,7 all turbo non pull start engines made te same power. This post is not about these engines but does more ports equal more power? I was just wonderin.:D

No.
The number of ports really don't have anything to do with power. Take the Hyper 21 8-port, it has 8-ports and compare it tot eh os V-soec which only has 3 -ports. The V-spec will kill the Hyper.
Port size, shape, and timing is where the engines make their power from.

LSXERIC more ports does not give more power . its displacement that gives power as in cc thats why a 2litre car is faster than a one litre :D

No its not.
Its timing that's the big thing in power/torque. That's why in a buggy or truggy you can have a sport 28 (like the Force 28) and compare it to a Race 21 (like a Picco/jammin 21) and the Race 21 will beat the sport 28
I've seen it done many times.
There is a replacement for displacement:rolleyes:

There is a replacement for displacement:rolleyes:i understand J.B this is very true what you say it does give more power ,but this a modification to the engine ,and cc will still overpower this ,but i agree with you totally.thanks

Yes, but not on REAL cars I agree. There is no replacement for displacement!;) But hey I'm a Texan:D

Less ports usually mean more velocity - ie; more torque.
Whereas more ports usually mean more volume - ie; more horsepower.
There are exceptions to the rule, but that's usually the case.

Thank u Jon. Thats a simple way to put it.
