Well I started this a while back and really haven't had much time to get online, so I'll get tyhis posted during lunch.
Here's how it started, Polycarbonate chassis, it won't be yellow that's just the template and it will eventually get lowered, I wasn't sure what tire I was going to run.

All was going great until, WTF!!!! Damn tiny e-clips.
http://www.ripper7racing.com/myimages/highlift/lilyota/cha_test_006.jpg
and here's something I'm working on.
http://www.ripper7racing.com/myimages/highlift/lilyota/wheel001.jpg
The templates on 030 styrene.
http://www.ripper7racing.com/myimages/highlift/lilyota/wheel002.jpg
Cut them out and shape them with a dremel and some 220, the 030 shapes really fast. Glue them down and give them a bit to dry.
http://www.ripper7racing.com/myimages/highlift/lilyota/wheel003.jpg
Next, Drill out the holes, sand and prime, I still need to do some finish work before paint, but I think you get the idea.

Well the Stock High-lifts we're OK but I decided it was time for a suspension lift and some new wheels. I had these Rock Crushers for another project but that project is going a different direction so lil Yota gets em.

rip... i thought you fell off this flat earth! the yoter is lookin great! i must say i wish those shocks mounted on top of the axle instead of the front of the axle. thats my only scale dilemma
ripper7777777

Yea, sombody need to make some good scale shocks, even the best of them are still to long.

you know what. i did find a guy at a local comp who was running steroid-like mini-t shocks with functional reservoirs. they were on TLT axles. i dont think the shocks are made anymore according to him. they looked awesome! he had a custom dual-rate spring too! all powder coated to look like King Racing Shocks in that baby blue. he bought them off ebay for $20 for 4 shocks! aluminum bodied and threaded too! basically a steal

Well I had planned on getting to this sooner but with IKE and all that mess I'm just now getting around to this.
Well I've decided to ebay this rig, I still have an unbuilt Hilux, an unbuilt ProMod Yota to build and I have my F250 Crew Cab "JACC" for comps. Plus my storage area is full, I need to build a new shelfing unit, but until than I think I'll let this one go to a new home.
First things first, I'm going back to the original tires and rims, the new owner can choose tires based on there wants and needs.
The next thing a complete tear down, I was quite pleased with the performance of this rig, she did very well at the last Comp which seems forever ago, but a hurricane and 15 days without power will make time seem warped.
I was running her without bearings since I was pretty sure she would end up on ebay, I also wanted to see the difference between bearings and bushings since my scale rigs see a lot of mud. Bushings are horrible, bearings tend to rust shut, so it might be best for the serious mudder to use busings in the axles but the drive train in this rig needs bearings. So she's getting full bearings.
The paint needed some restoring on the chassis and some new rust spots we're added to the body.
The teardown pics.....
Sorry about the bad lighting, this was done during the no power stretch after the hurricane.
