Uh, this is pretty stupid, but what makes the clodbuster so great? I mean I know no one with one and I don't own one. Is it fast, strong, or what I am lost, i just don't see what makes it so great probably cause i am a total noob.

The Codbuster is so great because it is tough, real looking, and It has the power and size to go over anything. Although it won't break any speed records it's the most fun I have had with any rc vehicle and I have driven a lot of RC cars. If you haven't owned a clodbuster before you are missing out big time, and as long as you're not trying to compare it to an e-maxx or something like that it won't dissapoint.

The Clodbuster is the monster of all monster trucks. It has so much aftermarket parts for it, that you can customize it a lot in many ways. In stock form of the truck, it's parts are strong. Best part of it, is that you can take it's solid axles and put it on a aftermarket chassis. It will be 100% better by a lot!

The ONLY reason I like it is because It was my first real hobby grade R/C. My dad had bought it when it first came out. He found no interrest in it and let it sit. Then just a few years a go we found it covered with dust. The bad nicad battierie and charger lead use to the first time I had been to a hobby shop. Got a desent nimh battire and charger and the rest is history.

dude what a great story... same way only it wasnt stock, mine was a transformed mod clod. used to race it at the indianapolis fall 4-wheel jamborees with a group of people. i had the tried and true bigfoot body with a custom made aluminum chassis made by the owner before me. this was in the late 90's too!

I sold my modded e-maxx to buy a clod. I have had the clod for 3 months now and other than the servo horn coming off (wrong one for the servo) and a few scratches on the bumper thanks to the wife it is by far more fun to bash with in a small back yard.

This is the only good picture i have of it. What happens after you replace the basement drain in the front yard? You break out the clod and crawl. 2627

so if i were to buy one it would be the super clodbuster right? and then i can mod mine out to my needs? Somewhere between basher and semi-crawler so i have speed to have fun and a lower setup to sort of crawl any suggestions Clodders??:D

Exactly. The chassis I run is called the Evolution chassis and it is made by Crawford Performance Engineering, it is described as a multi-purpose chassis and allows the owner to lower or raise the chassis to suit the needs of both racers and crawlers alike. The only things you will use from a stock clod for a modified Clodbuster are usually the gearboxes which are now availabe seperately and are legendary as far as being able to handle extreme abuse. I would recomend something Crawford or Thundertech as they seem to be the most current leaders in Clodbuster performance chassis. In any case building a modified Clodbuster has been one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done in this hobby and nothing compares to the satisfaction you'll get the first time you run one that you know you built from the ground up. In my opinion everyone in this hobby reguardless of what they drive should own at least one modified Clodbuster. So, If your thinking of picking up a Clod, I highly suggest you do as they some of the most versatile vehicles availabe with their ability to be continually modded to fit the owners intrests so it's nearly impossible to hate one. This is the chassis I run on my Clod, it sounds like just what your looking for.http://www.crawfordperformanceengineering.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_59_38&products_id=62&osCsid=2a4eb6961a77228cd85ad7440fc22e86
