I have a Nitro HPI RS4 3 Evo, and have been contemplating converting it to an Off-Road...
Anybody have any suggestions on how it could be accomplished, cheaply?

i guess your going to need bigger wheels to start of .i dont no the hex size on this model but iam sure if you do a search you will find some to fit also the shocks look a little on the small side you may need to extend the shock towers and fit longer throw shocks for of road use ,hope this helps :)

I'd agree with notatoy more shock travel and slightly bigger rally tires. another thing u might have to do is raise the body a bit. If not doing those things be like the dukes of hazzared. Take a gennaral lee and through it off road! Whoo-hoo!!

Actualy ordered suspension components from the HPI Nitro MT2... Which shares the same chassis layout, with minor differences
Thanks for the tips guys ;)

go for the center gear box spacer and a larger set of 2 speed gears too - with larger tires you'll need to gear down. the larger gear set for the MTSS 2 speed will fit your 2 speed perfect. I did the opposite, I used the on road gears on my MTSS 2sp tranny.
