Did anyone ever stripped a tiny gear inside the center tranny? I have and I don't know why it got stripped. It shouldn't get stripped since its made by HPI and very good quality. I only put a Tamiya super stock motor in it.
Here's the gear:

The smallest one there is the one I stripped. Ever happened to anyone?

Stripping tranny gears in the WK isn't uncommon. In the short time I ran the stock tranny I never stripped the gears but I did have the infamous "clicking" noise. The stock internal slipper allow the gears to deflect too much and over time they start to skip making the clicking noise. Eventually(sometimes immediately) they strip.
There are a couple of options for aftermarket metal gears. One is RC4WD, I think theirs are $60 + shipping. Or you can try these annodized aluminum ones from CKRC for $19 + shipping:

A guy on another forum tried the CKRC gears when they came out earlier this year and has had no problems to this day.

Thanks for the link! IMO, I think HPI should of made this truck all metal gears, only the diffs are metal. I needs those metal gears, probably, but I'll get some plastic HPI ones first, see will they stripped again, but while I'm ordering those, I'll order the metal ones.

I just ordered the gear part. Never ordered the metal ones yet. Gonna stick with the stock plastics and if it breaks again, I'll see what I can do.

yeah that the first thing drivetrain wise that broke on my truck. the top gear. i bought the rc4wd gears and haven't had a problem. i started snapping driveshafts and axle shafts! haha i got rid of the slipper problem tho as well. hope the new gears work well for you!

Yeah, if it breaks again, going to get the metal gears. HPI should of went metal gears in the center tranny, since the diffs were metal, why the center can't?

yeah idk why they'd do that. i think it's to keep cost down. which makes sense in a business aspect. but its so much more worth putting the metal in there. that way people would still buy from them for replacement metal gears god forbid they break...
