I have a question about liqued masking. After it dries can you use an exacto knife to cut it how I want it to look or do i have to paint it on the way I want it? Please let me know thanks!

Paint it on in several medium coats, letting each coat fully dry (until clear). Then cut your design with a new blade and light pressure.

Peel & paint!

Post pictures please.

You asked for my opinion...so......

Personally I am not a big fan of mostly black cars. Too plain.

The flames, depending on the design and details (like pinstripes around them, ghost effects, patterning, etc) could look very nice.

I would suggest avoiding a simple flame shape with no other visual interest against the black areas. Even a simple contrasting pinstripe would separate areas of black and silver. White, blue, or red would work just fine.

I would make sure the flames "balance" out the areas left black, so the flames don't feel lost on the larger black areas.

Hope my thoughts help, but this is just my opinion on "black with silver flames".

Paint is cheap (not spray cans). Once you have an Airbrush, a 2oz. bottle of Faskolor lasts a LONG time!

FYI - Liquid masking and spray can lacquers can be a problem....the cuts "heal over" and you have to re-cut them, sometimes.
