I wanted a new monster truck but couldn't nail down the funds (sound familiar folks?). So I searched around to see if i could put clod tires on my Wild Dagger. A few things changed. Clod tires are hard to come by under $35 even on ebay and the adaptors are about the same price for only two. On a whim I drove by the LHS and found a set of used E-Maxx tires for $10. i even asked the clerk if the price was right. With the set of tires came the challenge of mounting them. I found a website that carry aluminum wheel extentions that give me the clearance and adapted e-maxx hubs to the dagger for only $19. It performs as well as it did with the smaller tires only it climbs over obsticles instead of ramming them. One small problem though, the dogbones are not quit strong enough to handle the extra torque needed to move the wheels. So a trip to my LHS again to buy stronger dogbones is needed before the conversion is truly complete. But in the end I ended up with a clod like monster for about $35. (Of course WD kit radio and servo's excluded). I'll try to get pictures up later.

hi basher ,i have the very same truck .you can mount the stock wheels inside the clodbuster wheels they sit tight inside you just need a little super glue to stick the two faces together . if you see my topic hopped up double blaze you will see a video of this truck ,were this has been done ,i here yah with the dogbones they are as you say very weak i upgraded these a while back ,also you will need a high tourq servo to cope with these wheels i installed a futaba , and now have no problems i also found locking the diff in both gearboxes made a big difference ,hope this helps .thanks
