I was wondering if anyone has tried painting a set of plastic MT rims. I'm also looking for any information on mettalic clear coat rattle cans. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Lacquers will work on plastics. Krylon Crystal Clear will top coat most stuff and work well, but on wheels, paint will be challenged to adhere well over time.

Also wheels will see a lot of rock, etc so it might just strach all the paint off.
Although I did use some of that testors model paint on a set of hpi wheels for a TC and it seemed to hold up fine. Then again a TC is mostly ran on a well preped track.

What kind of dye's are available for plastics? I was wondering so I could get my LHS to get some in for me. Thanks.

Rit dye, that you find at stores like wal-mart.
Then you boil it in some water, along with the parts.
Also be sure to use a junk pan with that stuff.

RIT dye? Is that what it's called? Just want to make sure before I go looking for it. Thanks
