I have been looking everywhere!

And it seems like it is trying to find a rare diamond! I am looking for some 2.2 BeadLock Wheels that fit a T4. And I am almost starting to doubt their existence. The only ones I have found where being sold by this guy, and they are these aluminum, limited edition wheels, and he says "do not run!"

So I know that someone makes them, but who? I want these wheels really bad, because I hate gluing tires, and if you need new tires, you don't need to buy new rims, or try salvaging the old ones, which is a pain. And If you want to be able to have a bunch of different tires to choose from, you don't need to buy a new set of wheels for all your different tires!

So can someone help me in my epic quest to find these elusive wheels?

The really early AE buggy used three piece wheels that acted like beadlocks...those might work for you?

I looked at some three piece wheels from pro-line, but the add at Tower Hobbies website said that you require CA glue to glue the tires to the rims. I dont know if that is true or not, it might have just been put in there since it is a wheel. Are three piece wheels designed to hold the bead of the tire without glue?

Anyway, Ive been doing some searching, and it looks like there are some 2.2 beadlock wheels out there, but all the ones that I've seen only fit the hex nut axels. And as you may, or may not know, the T4 uses these 3/16 axel, with a universal roll-pin. I almost seems that every other car out there uses the hexes.

So, I was wondering, Is there some way that I could turn my axels into the hex ones? Is there some kind of adapter out there or could I get different axels or something?

No matter what, I am going to find a way to get BeadLock wheels on my T4, even if I have to Fabricate my own parts! (Believe me, I can, my uncle has a machine shop with a CNC machine and all! LOL!)

I am actually thinking of making my own line of RC Products, I am going to be working at my Uncle's machine shop soon. I want to make parts that people want but that are rare or dont exist. For instace, Aluminum arms and BeadLock wheels for the T4, what do you think about that?

Axial Racing has some that fit 2.2 inch wheels. I don't know if they will fit the T4 though? I think they ar primarily for rock crawlers though.

I already checked them out, they only fit hex axels.

You do know that you can get 12mm hexes to go inside the wheels with a pin slot in them, right?

The associated 3 piece wheels hold very well. I used to use them on my crawler and they worked just fine.

Did you ever find any bead-lock wheels that fit the T4? I also drive a T4 and have seriousally thinking of making some on my milling machine. If you are interested I could make you a set also, if I do make them. Let me know. -Adam
