Winter project

Just received the VS1 Tunnel Hull today:D I am impressed. I'll be building this over the winter. Hopefully as I work on it I will share the build with everybody.

Got a little bit done lastnight. Installed the output, radio tray, on/off switch and steering servo. I used a JR ST126MG servo for the steering and installed a switch control rod.:D

You can find it in the boat section, with a title saying "big boat" or somthing like that....:D To sum it all up, I lost interest. R/C cars are more my thing!:rolleyes:

How is it going so far?

It's going okay. Finished up the electronics. Installed the cables for the steering and throttle, finished up the fuel tank pedestal and installed the fuel tank. Messed around with the canopy a little bit. Should order the engine Monday. I'm going with the Thunder Tiger Pro .21M outboard.

O ya. Where do you plan to run this monster. I know if your are caught with a nitro down in Texas you can recive a $500 fine. Some stupid rule that it contaminates the water. Boo-hoo:rolleyes:

The Spokane River seems to be the target for now. Have to do some research. When we had a boat club, that's where they held their races. We shall see.

Nothing yet on the VS1 but the boats are multipling. We are in the middle of building a Vortex 46 airboat with another aquacraft airboat on the way:D Pictures soon to follow.

A little update on the Vortex. Finally picked up the engine. I chose a Magnum XLS46A. We're setting it up tonight. Installed 2 JR ST47BB servos and rudder and throttle cables. Some parts are on backorder:( I'll keep you posted

Hey there, Which boat are you talking about? If your talking about the NQD that's our retrievial boat. We hook the leader to it and go after the flipped boat, circle it a few times and then reel everything in. Its my poor mans method of retrieving a boat thats gone over:D

P.S. Yes the boys want to try fishing with it also. LOL

Wow, that boat is awesome! I would kill to have an RC hydro, but Im stuck with my Villain EX for now lol.
