Just got Savage 4.6, kinda new at this?

Hey anyone out there, I just ordered the Savage 4.6, it will be here tomorrow!
Anyways, I have been absent from model RC'-ing for a couple years, and I was wondering if anyone has any idea or suggestions for a rechargable battery pack for the receiver and transmitter that comes with the Savage X 4.6 RTR, I'm not even sure what brand of radio comes with the truck, maybe if someone here knows they could help me out. Also I'm not too sure what kinda of charger I would need for those battery packs also. Also it seems as though I have blanked out the difference between Nicd and NiMH batteries, and which ones I could use with this truck and the right charger and stuff. Well thanks anyone that can help!

Do you have a local shop near by ? They can point you in the direction you need to go. The radio is the standard HPI AM and is decent for playing and having fun.

Greetings! Name is Greg, and I am a newbie as well, and I have the Savage X SS 4.6 Truck. My local hobby store had me purchase the Prophet Plus AC/DC Field charger. This charger will charge your receiver battery pack and your controller battery pack as well. For now I have been Energizer Lithum batteries in my controller. I am saving money to buy a new Spektrum controller. Next the hobby store had me purchase the Venom 5-Cell 1200mah batteries packs for my receiver pack, and Venom 6-Cell 3000mah for my roto starter for the 4.6 engine. Finally, for my glow plug I have the Hobbico 1.5V Glow Plug Battery with the locking glow plug clips. I hope this information helps.
