the flux is basically a re-named mamba system so it is great. The E-firestorm is a great truck too. I'd go with hpi on this one.

actually I think the hpi is a 4500? but you are probebly right I do know for a fact that the rustler is very tough and can withstand a whole lot and they also have alot of tuning options for them were I dont see many for the firestorm and at almost every hobby shop in america there is traxxas stuph thats just my $00.2

if it's going to see some time on the track, i'd lean towards the HPI as it's handling and racing potential is much higher. If it's mostly fun and backyard bashing, the rustler is hard to beat - durable as they come.
which one? i have a e firestorm in the mail, and dont know what system to put in??

The E-Firestorm Flux can't handle no more than 2S lipo packs. Seen the review of it from the last couple XRC Megazines and said that it can't take 3S packs, but the Rustler VXL can. But both can reach fast top speeds that for sure, but the Flux sure looks cooler than the VXL, but VXL is probably faster than it, since it can use up to 3S lipo packs.

On a track, I do not know how the Rustler will do, but as someone said earlier, the VXL is hard to beat at bashin'. I have several bashers and the VXL is one of the best! I run MaxxAmps nimh 4700mah 8 cell (9.6 volt) and get about 30 minutes of runtime. I have not clocked it in a while, but I am assuming somewhere around 50 mph.
