Here's a way to fix a stripped wheel hex.

1) Drill a small hole through the wheel and the hex.

2) Find a screw that fits pretty snug inside the hole.

3) Cut the head of the screw off and grind it down so that when you put it through the hex and the wheel (the hole you drilled) no part of the screw is sticking out.

4) Put the wheel and the hex on the car with the screw in the hole and fun.

I'll try to get a picture so that it's more understandable.:)

Good stuff. I have a solder that has a E Savage and just bought some used tires off a guy. The rims are stripped out on one and I was just thinking about how to fix it. Thanks for taking the guesswork out of it.

If you don't mind keeping the hexes in the rims you can also use either CA glue or shoe goo.

I've tried the CA and it does work pretty good. I have had the problem though of the hex getting stuck to the axle carrier.:)
